These New York State-approved classes are taught by live transmission to your home. See below for approval letters from New York State and from ASHI for these transmitted courses.
You can get 12 of your required CEU hours as a licensed home inspector from our NY approved virtual (or “live distance education”) courses on February 26 and March 5th.

Enrollment Agreement
Attention: This purchase of course is a license and not a sale. This course is provided under the following license which defines what you may do with the product or service provided by the course and contains limitations on warranties and or remedies.
Training Agreement and Registration
Carefully read this license and sign below. This license agreement is your proof of license. Treat it as valuable property.
A. License: First City Home Inspections, Inc. ("we" or "us"), provides you with live instruction or use of a storage media containing video(s) ("video") and documents online - e.g. manuals and inspection forms-(all combined called the "product") and grants you a license to use the product in accordance with the terms of this license. The copyright and all other rights in the Product shall remain with us or our suppliers. You may not make copies of any portion or all of the Product. This product is not available to persons who train individuals. It is also not available to companies or individuals who sell training services or to franchises or individuals affiliated in any way with franchises. All sales are final. Photos submitted to us as part of any training program/course you are taking with us are ours to use in an unlimited fashion.
B. Term: This license shall continue for approximately one year if you have signed up for an online or home study course or training. Nevertheless, your access will terminate if you fail to comply with any of its terms. You agree upon termination, to deliver any materials you have received as part of the course to us at our request.
C. Liability to us is limited to the fee paid by the participant for the course. We reserve the right to cancel should there be an inadequate number of students enroll. We also reserve the right to cancel due to weather, natural disasters, lack of adequate electricity or wireless to the training site, changes in laws rules or regulations, etc. Should, for any reason, the course(s) have to be canceled, we agree to notify the participant within a reasonable amount of time from the time it is determined that the course must be canceled. We are only required to give notice based on the contact information provided by the participant.
D. Registration must be completed online. No registration on-site. You must be in your seat at the beginning of the class to receive credit for a class – no exceptions. Sign in and Sign out required. Partial credit for part of any class is not available.
E. Device Use. If you are participating in a live training course, you must keep any cell phone audio ringer settings and wireless connections on any device completely off in the room.
F. Recording. You agree to allow us to make audio and video recordings by any means and/or media of your image and your voice and use it for commercial purposes in the event you ask questions, make comments, etc. while the course is being recorded. You grant use the right to use your image and voice in connection with all uses of the recording and waive the right to inspect or approve use of the recording of you. You agree that we will have the irrevocable, worldwide right to make, copy, edit, publish, distribute, play, show, display and otherwise use and make available any recordings and any works derived from the recordings, by any means and in any media now existing or hereafter invented, and to authorize others to do the same with regard to any audio or video recordings we have made of your voice or image. You understand and agree that you will not receive any royalties/other payments in connection with either the rights granted to us or the use/dissemination of any recordings. You agree to release us and our assigns, licensees, and successors from any claims that may arise regarding the use of such recording, including any claims of defamation, invasion of privacy, or infringement of moral rights, rights of publicity, or copyright. You acknowledge that you have no ownership rights in the recording. At the same time, we are not obligated to utilize the rights granted in this Agreement. You confirm you are over the age of 18.
G. Whether you are taking a live or non-live course, you agree to not make any audio, video, or other recording of any part of any of the training or course. You may: 1. Use the Product yourself only. If you wish to allow others to view the Product, you will need a further license for each additional person. You must contact us at (888) 466-4677 to add another to the license. We reserve the right to set the price for such additional licenses at the time of the supplemental license request. 2. view the product as many times as you wish during the course term (see below) so long as you are the only person viewing the product (online or home study courses).
H. You may not: 1. make copies of or duplicate any portion or all of the Product. This includes a prohibition on transcription of the tape narration. 2. use the Product except as permitted in this license. 3. sell or resell the product 4. publish or distribute any of the images, scenes or sound in the product 5. rent, lease, assign or transfer the product 6. modify the product or add it into another product 7. allow other than the registered user listed below view the video series 8.use the video to sell training services 9. train individuals other than yourself.
I. Limitation of warranties and liability: This product is provided on an "as is" basis, without any other warranties, or conditions, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantable quality, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, or those arising by law, statute, usage of trade or course of dealing. The entire risk as to the results and performance of the Product is assumed by you. Neither we nor our dealers or suppliers shall have any liability to you or any other person or entity for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages whatsoever, including but not limited to loss of revenue or profit, lost or damaged data or other commercial or economic loss, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages or they are foreseeable; or for claims by a third party. Our maximum liability to you, and that of our dealers and suppliers shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the product. The limitations in this section shall apply whether or not the alleged breach or default is a breach of a fundamental condition or term, or a fundamental breach. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages so the above limitation may not apply to you.
J. General: This license is the entire agreement between us, supersedes any other agreement or discussions, oral or written and may not be changed except by a written signed agreement. This agreement shall be interpreted under the laws of the State of Massachusetts and the United States, including U.S. copyright law with the exception that the Fair Use Doctrine shall not apply. If any provision of this License is declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, such provision shall be severed from the License and the other provisions shall remain in full force and effect. You also agree that any photos provided by you as part of a course, are ours to freely use without cost or credit as to source.
